Sand Pail Planters

We had a lot of fun with the Upper Gwynedd kids, creating beautiful sand pail planters, teaching them about what plants need to survive, and getting them excited about gardening.

Here's a few easy things to remember to keep those flowers blooming all summer long:

DO NOT WATER BY SCHEDULE! This is the most common mistake people make when caring for their plants.  Only water as needed, you will notice there is a difference in the weight of the container when it needs water.  Let it dry out between waterings and then give it a heavy soak.

Please note, there are drainage holes on the bottom of the pails, so you don't want to put them on top of anything you don't want to get wet.

Just as with people, your plants need to eat.  Jack's Bloom Booster is a fantastic product that we would recommend it for these planters.  It will keep your flowers blooming at their best all summer.  Like steroids for plants!
